Brace Face No More

The picture is so crooked! I scanned it several times and it came out like this each time, then I realized it was how the picture was done....they made it crooked on purpose!! Insane! It's almost too much for me to handle, so I'll just try not to look at it.

Sadie had an appointment on September 10th to get her braces off. She was very excited but also dissapointed because it meant she would have her 7th grade pictures taken with her braces. Thankfully we got a call last week from the orthodontist, they had a cancellation and wondered if Sadie would like to come in on September 1st to have her braces taken off. Are you kidding me?!? Of course she would! So the next day we arrived at the orthodontist office more excited than you can imagine. She would get her braces off early and she would not have braces on in her 7th grade picture.

I have to admit, Sadie was so great about her braces. She always did everything the orthodontist said...wearing her rubber bands, not eating the "forbidden" foods. She really didn't get this from me. I was terrible with braces. I was supposed to wear a head gear...nope, I wouldn't wear it. I wasn't allowed to eat carmel or doritoes...are you kidding me? I probably had a broken bracket every month. Not my Sadie. I guess that's why she got her braces off in 18 months and her mother had them on for 24. I still argue it's becasue braces are better now compared to when I was young. That's my story and I'm sticking to it.
