Isn't that the cutest grandma ever?! We celebrated my Grandma Smiths 80th birthday on Saturday. It was fun to be able to spend time with my big family. Some background on my Grandma Smith, My Grandma has 10 kids, she has 41 grand kids, so you can imagine what family parties were like when I was young. She also has around 72 great grand kids (that number changes fast). And she now has 1 great great grandchild. My grandma is also really small. We were all taller than her around age 10, and her feet are tiny, I'm pretty sure she wears a size 4. I remember each one of my kids laughing about how their shoes are too big for great grandma.
It was nice to be able to celebrate her birthday with some of my very favorite people (Jeff, this does not include you ;)). There is always great food and conversation at a Smith party. We're all loud and we all talk over each other, the one who talks the loudest is listened to, so you can imagine that I get to tell my stories often.
The best part of my grandmas party was when she shared her testimony with all of us. She talked about how much she has relied on the Lord in her life (my grandpa died when their youngest child was only 2). She said she knows that her prayers have always been answered.
My cousin Becca took pictures of all the families with Grandma.
There was even a big bounce house with a slide. Even my older girls took part in the fun. The best part about the slide was when it started raining...it became a water slide. Kylee and Samantha loved it and were soaked, but they didn't care, they jumped until they were dry.
