I love Family Home Evening during Christmas time, there are endless activities and some of my favorite lessons. Tonight we decorated Gingerbread houses.
If you are wondering why Kyle and Bret are not in this picture, Kyle was creating a family elf dance video that he kept deleting, and Bret was upstairs asleep. (That's the other reason for the previous post:). The girls had a great time decorating their Gingerbread Houses. I was so impressed with how easy it was for everyone this year, Christmases past I've always had to help, but this year they decorated the houses with no help from me...in fact whenever I would try and add my expertise, they would get upset. I'm fine with that, I got to sit back and watch their little creative minds at work. Here are the finished products.

Did you really not have to help Samantha and Kylee?
I wanted to help Samantha and Kylee, but they got mad every time I tried to add something...so it really was on their own.
We stole you idea and made those for FHE tonight. I had Melanie's kids over, so we had 9 kids and two gingerbread houses. It was insane, but it was a lot of fun!
